“The Sock Monkey Train Song”
A few years ago I was asked by my dear friend Shari Brandt to lend my song writing ability to transform a poem that her Brother Todd (Train) Brandt had written, in to a full on song. Todd was dying and in that process, was finding his greatest joy in a toy train set and his beloved Sock Monkey Boy. I was deeply honored and moved and did my best to meet and match Todd’s poem and Shari’s request. I sang the resulting poem/song for Todd at his bedside shortly before he passed away. He was very pleased, the moments were magical, and Shari has tried to capture and continue Todd’s beautiful spirit and imagination by illustrating the song and creating a series of Children’s Books. This coming Saturday (May 11) I will be performing “The Sock Monkey Train Song” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=108uI1rCcsc
and Shari and I will be signing copies of the Books, at the most beautiful venue anywhere, ALFREDS VICTORIAN 38 N. Union St., Middletown, Pennsylvania. From 4:30 to 6:30 PM. It promises to be an all around beautiful event, and it would be past wonderful if you were there to share it with us. Loving and looking forward!!! Scott Fagan.
